What is Coaching?

Coaching is a partnership between coach and client. The client comes as who they are now , to a warm, safe and compassionate space. A place where they feel understood, accepted and most importantly, heard. Together, the coach and client help the client to use their strengths and unique brain wiring, to move forward and to get beyond any barriers that show up along the way. This journey will help the client become who they want to be and create a life for themselves that is fulfilling.

What is ADHD?

Unique Brain Wiring , Means Out of the Box Thinking

Having ADHD means that a person has been blessed with unique brain wiring that calls for" Out of the Box" learning and thinking. The reason people struggle from its traits, is because we live in a world that teaches "In the Box" learning and thinking. Those that have ADHD require tools and strategies to aid the challenges that they have with their Executive Functions. Areas needing support could be ; Organization, Working Memory, Motivation, Focus,  impulsivity, and Emotional Regulation.

Often those that struggle from their ADHD are vastly misunderstood by the many people in their lives . They mistakenly get viewed as; overly dramatic, lazy, forgetful, messy, and disorganized. Yet really, they actually  have a hard time managing their emotions, due to the constant frustration with trying to  understand and manage their own Executive Function issues , which can  impact their, health and mental wellness, education, relationships and job.

Embrace Life’s Challenges

Taking that first step to acknowledge you want to make changes to improve your life and initiating a conversation with me , was already great progress to move forward towards your success. It shows your willingness for change and your ability to take action. I will be with you every step of the way to empower you to live the life you want and for you to discover your best and most authentic version of yourself.

As your coach ,you can expect me to be fully committed and focused on you, your efforts and your successes. I will always support your decisions, but your decisions are your own.I will also provide you with strict confidentiality, unless stated otherwise by you.

As my Client, I ask that you be honest and committed, this is for your success after all. Most importantly, if strategies we use are not serving you, be truthful to me about it, so that we can adjust and try something differently.

I prefer to coach adults and parents , over children, because I feel a strong loving connection between parent and child is most important and in educating the parents and empowering them, then they can best support their child with ADHD. That being said, there may be times where it is necesary to have both child and parent in a session together to best collaborate ,problem solve and create healthy and loving communication.

I am also passionate about helping women or moms with ADHD , become their best, authentic selves, that are thriving , not surviving. Executive Function struggles can lead to chaos and overwhelm, coaching can bring strategies, tools, organization and peace back  into their lives.

Why Choose Me?

Life Experience

As a Coach I bring a Unique skill set and training in ADHD. I trained with the ADD Coach Academy(ADDCA) in New York, USA. I not only was trained by them all about the impacts and struggles of  ADHD, as well as the strengths and blessings but also, how to Coach those with it.  I can also coach those without it.

When training as a Life Coach, you do not learn about ADHD or how to coach people with it. If you do not have that, the coaching will be ineffective and almost defeating to those with ADHD. This is why my training with ADDCA is important to know.

I also bring with me life experience as someone who grew up with Executive Function challenges and learning disabilities, as well as now being a parent to more than one child with ADHD. I understand that my parenting has to be very different for them because of their unique brain wiring and ways of learning. I also understand the importance of my own Emotional Intelligence and Self Awareness to be able to parent effectively. I myself have lived it and had to learn from it, and am still learning as I go along.

I can educate Moms on their child's ADHD or on their own. I can also help Moms to see beyond the barriers of ADHD and see the many gifts it brings to either themselves or their kids.

I believe the most important thing for anyone that has ADHD, is to have a compassionate and unconditional connection to at least one loved one in their life, so that they can feel they have somebody  that loves them, accepts them and understands them. In having this , it will help them to love and  believe in themselves. When they can do this, they will thrive.

I Want to be Coached, What is the Next Step?

Achieve Your Goals

Now that you have read up on who I am and what I do, if you are ready to find out more. I offer a free first "Discovery session", a chance to  chat in person or over the phone (facetime, Zoom,etc..),so that you can let me know what you are in need of and what you are looking for and then we can decide if we are a good fit. You can chat LIVE on here with me to ask about fees or message me.

After having a first free session, you decided that you want to partner with me , I will email you my Welcome Package and Coaching Agreement and we will discuss fees and commitment. I do ask that after  the first free session, that you book and pay for three sessions at once. I ask this because I feel you will not truly understand what you can get from coaching from just one session. Each time we get together, you will be coming with a particular area of focus that we can work on and you can  then go forward to take action on.
